Support Services Teams

There are a variety of teams which come together to support our Operations & Service delivery colleagues. Based in our Redditch, Upminster or Glasgow offices, the colleagues provide a range of services from HR, Finance, IT, Learning & Communications through to HSQE, MI, Strategy & Business Development.

LEARNING & COMMUNICATIONS

Our Learning team support Arcus in ensuring all of our colleagues feel valued and have the right knowledge and skills to do their jobs to the very best of their abilities. They manage activities such as technical training, compliance training, leadership and soft skills development, training sponsorship, talent management, apprenticeships, colleague engagement and our social value activities.

As brand guardians, our Marketing & Communications team use effective internal communications to land key messages across the business and help harness the power of Arcus’ strongest advocates – our people. They also engage external audiences through strategic narratives, finding the right angles to showcase our service offering and strengthen our brand reputation through online and offline PR and marketing.

FINANCE

The primary purpose of this team is to oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting, financial control and statutory compliance. This is whilst supporting the wider organisation in helping deliver their objectives by providing insight and financial analysis in order to support teams and management in their decision making.

The finance team manages and oversees all aspects of financial reporting and governance. It provides business partnering to the wider organisation, management of supply chain and procurement activities and ensures timely invoicing to customers and payments to suppliers through the sales and purchase ledger teams.

HR

HR Business Partners work with key stakeholders across their business area, providing advice, guidance and coaching as well as taking the lead on key people strategies. HR Shared Services provide an end to end HR administration service for the colleague life cycle, handling first line HR queries and resolving via face to face contact or over the phone. The Talent Acquisition team support the business and hiring managers in attracting, engaging, recruiting and onboarding talent in line with our immediate and longer-term needs.

STRATEGY & CENTRAL OPERATIONS

The Application Management team manage, support and develop some of the core applications and systems in Arcus. They deal with login creation, general administration, support and developments or enhancements to these applications.

The IT team support and enhance all of our IT infrastructure, hardware and applications that keep our business running. They are responsible for managing and resolving all IT queries and issues experienced by colleagues, and the setup and issuing of hardware for new starters. Information Security and IT enhancement projects are also managed by the IT team, ensuring that our network and end user devices are protected, and that we provide effective systems and solutions for the business.

The Business Development team identify and secure new business opportunities in line with our strategy to fulfil the growth ambition of Arcus FM. Our MI and Science of Simple teams also sit within our Strategy & Central Operations area.

Our innovative SMaRT hub sits within our Strategy & Central Operations division and is our internal bureau, managed by a team of dedicated energy professionals and subject matter experts.

The SMaRT hub makes FM services simpler, smarter, quicker and cheaper, through the use of remote data analysis and the creation of smarter maintenance and real-time technology.  Our range of services and expertise enables us to increase efficiencies, improve energy output and ultimately lower costs. We utilise a range of industry-leading methodologies, including predictive rule sets, condition-based monitoring, weather analysis and the use of the internet of things (IoT).

Our Refrigeration Bureau remotely monitors refrigeration systems and predicts possible breakdowns before they happen. Through continuous monitoring and analysis, we’re able to implement and improve systems and their efficiency, saving our customers energy and money.
